Wendy Oliveras has launched a search firm on the premise that all recruitment efforts be driven exclusively by the need to provide client and candidate satisfaction, cultivating an environment of collaboration and mutual trust. Her vision and passion to help others has been her motivation to create a successful company, which provides confidential and professional guidance to those in job transition or exploring new career opportunities or development.
Ms. Oliveras believes in an environment that yields more than just money. For too long, there has been a lack of personalization in the provision of services, a low regard for the importance of developing collaborative relationships, and an environment where search consultants are not provided with the necessary support and motivation to thrive. Further, the quality of the candidates and positions must meet the expectations of companies and individuals alike. For these reasons, Ms. Oliveras' vision to create a company which stands out above the rest resulted in the formation of Oliveras & Company, Inc. in 2001.
With 29 years of combined hands-on experience in intellectual property law firms and attorney placement, Ms. Oliveras has a strong appreciation and full understanding of the legal and recruitment industries. As a result, she has developed effective and successful skills to represent all of her clientele. Prior to the formation of OC, Ms. Oliveras served as Regional Director of an Intellectual Property Division, as well as developed and maintained the position of Managing Director of an Office Services Division at an established legal recruitment firm.
She holds a Masters of Science degree in Human Resources Management, magna cum laude, from The New School, the distinct honor of being chosen as Student Representative of the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy in 2004, as well as a post-Master's Certification in Career Development and Planning. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Pre-Law, cum laude, and is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
Her professional memberships and affiliations include the following: National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC); Ambassador, New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC); Hudson County (New Jersey) Chamber of Commerce (HCCC); Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM); National Association of Female Executives (NAFE); National Association of Professional Women (NAPW); New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) and President of the NJAWBO Hudson County Chapter; Women Impacting Public Policy (W.I.P.P.); the United States Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC); and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
Ms. Oliveras is well-known and respected in the legal and recruitment fields and has established solid and loyal relationships with national and international law firms and corporations. It is her expectation that you will come to regard Oliveras & Company, Inc. as your ultimate choice in recruitment firms for its strong commitment to excellence and leadership.
Wendy Oliveras is available for speaking engagements and full participation in seminars or workshops. She is also available to make presentations and co-sponsor relative Webinars.
Her areas of expertise encompass the intellectual property marketplace and legal recruitment field, including career development and planning. She brings close to 30 years of solid hands-on experience and strong knowledge of both industries. (See upcoming Speaking Engagements and Webinars.)
